Somehow appears to be burdened with sorrow

Saruiwa(The Monkey Rock)

At the edge of the Kurosaki Peninsula lies a basaltic sea cliff standing at 45 meters. Resembling a monkey that has turned to face in another direction, this whimsical naturally occurring rock formation will certainly surprise you. In a legend about the creation of Iki, Saruiwa is one of eight pillars that surrounds and stabilizes the island in the sea.
Next to the parking lot there is a great shop called "Osaru-no-Kagoya",where all of Iki's souvenirs can be purchased.
